Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Athens Medical (AT:AMCr), which rose 2.86% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.080 at the close. Meanwhile, Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) added 1.75% or 0.140 points to end at 8.160 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was up 1.67% or 0.070 points to 4.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which fell 4.32% or 0.120 points to trade at 2.660 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) declined 3.57% or 0.160 points to end at 4.320 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was down 3.11% or 0.045 points to 1.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 50 to 45 and 20 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.17% or 2.15 to $1281.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.27% or 0.14 to hit $52.76 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.56% or 0.34 to trade at $60.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1344, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8703.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 96.042.
