Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 6.58% or 0.2900 points to trade at 4.7000 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 3.33% or 0.050 points to end at 1.520 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was up 2.36% or 0.021 points to 0.911 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 5.29% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.161 at the close. Autohellas (AT:AUTr) declined 1.82% or 0.41 points to end at 22.11 and Hellenic Petroleum SA (AT:HEPr) was down 1.45% or 0.110 points to 7.480.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 40 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 5.27 to $1313.63 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.65% or 0.30 to hit $46.14 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.50% or 0.26 to trade at $51.40 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1905, while EUR/GBP fell 0.51% to 0.9218.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 92.74.
