Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 3.52% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.677 at the close. Meanwhile, Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) added 2.94% or 0.003 points to end at 0.105 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 2.53% or 0.120 points to 4.860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 2.70% or 0.57 points to trade at 20.55 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 2.66% or 0.022 points to end at 0.806 and Select Textile (AT:EPIr) was down 2.42% or 0.007 points to 0.282.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 49 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) rose to 3-years highs; rising 3.52% or 0.023 to 0.677.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.40% or 5.04 to $1259.66 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $49.28 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.10 to trade at $52.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.42% to 1.1745, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.9056.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 93.62.
