Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.14% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 7.43% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.289 at the close. Meanwhile, Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) added 5.63% or 0.080 points to end at 1.500 and Terna Energy (AT:TENr) was up 4.56% or 0.180 points to 4.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 4.70% or 1.01 points to trade at 20.50 at the close. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 3.08% or 0.004 points to end at 0.126 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 2.78% or 0.005 points to 0.175.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 44 and 15 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.78% or 9.52 to $1226.82 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.72% or 0.33 to hit $46.41 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.76% or 0.37 to trade at $48.79 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.1450, while EUR/GBP fell 0.65% to 0.8752.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.52% at 95.06.
