Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 6.45% or 0.400 points to trade at 6.600 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 6.05% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.2280 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was up 4.57% or 0.240 points to 5.490 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 18.45% or 0.043 points to trade at 0.190 at the close. Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) declined 9.09% or 0.026 points to end at 0.260 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 8.52% or 0.150 points to 1.610.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 64 to 35 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.56% or 7.35 to $1304.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.59% or 0.31 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.48 to trade at $57.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.1771, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8768.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.57% at 92.97.
