Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Food and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr), which rose 9.02% or 0.6000 points to trade at 7.2500 at the close. Meanwhile, ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) added 2.66% or 0.70 points to end at 27.00 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 2.22% or 0.018 points to 0.828 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 6.80% or 0.035 points to trade at 0.480 at the close. Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) declined 6.16% or 0.180 points to end at 2.740 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was down 5.03% or 0.0095 points to 0.1795.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 79 to 32 and 21 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.19% or 2.40 to $1287.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.39% or 0.28 to hit $71.03 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.24 to trade at $78.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.50% to 1.1780, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8736.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 93.39.
