Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr), which rose 4.58% or 0.32 points to trade at 7.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Lavipharm SA (AT:LPHr) added 3.61% or 0.03 points to end at 0.95 and Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR) was up 3.33% or 0.50 points to 15.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jumbo SA (AT:BABr), which fell 3.96% or 1.04 points to trade at 25.20 at the close. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 2.52% or 0.82 points to end at 31.68 and Ellaktor SA (AT:HELr) was down 2.45% or 0.07 points to 2.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 58 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.72% or 40.85 to $2,420.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.61% or 0.50 to hit $82.60 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.60% or 0.51 to trade at $85.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.66% at 104.04.
