Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Retail, Telecoms and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Folli Follie (AT:HDFr), which rose 8.19% or 0.70 points to trade at 9.25 at the close. Meanwhile, Intralot (AT:INLr) added 4.09% or 0.036 points to end at 0.916 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was up 3.43% or 0.0055 points to 0.1660 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Crete Plastics SA (AT:PLAKR), which fell 3.55% or 0.500 points to trade at 13.600 at the close. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 3.47% or 0.2500 points to end at 6.9500 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was down 2.28% or 0.003 points to 0.137.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 54 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.12% or 1.60 to $1315.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.77% or 1.91 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.90% or 2.17 to trade at $77.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1862, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8732.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 92.88.
