Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Resources and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which rose 15.63% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.074 at the close. Meanwhile, Autohellas (AT:AUTr) added 4.35% or 0.98 points to end at 23.50 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 3.46% or 0.010 points to 0.299 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Titan Cement Company SA (AT:TTNr), which fell 3.42% or 0.835 points to trade at 23.545 at the close. AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) declined 3.38% or 0.050 points to end at 1.450 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was down 2.70% or 0.040 points to 1.440.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 43 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Autohellas (AT:AUTr) rose to 5-year highs; up 4.35% or 0.98 to 23.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.41% or 5.46 to $1327.24 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.43% or 0.69 to hit $48.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.53 to trade at $54.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.49% to 1.1907, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8995.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.45% at 92.30.
