Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite gained 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr), which rose 4.25% or 0.44 points to trade at 10.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Premia AE (AT:PREMr) added 3.62% or 0.04 points to end at 1.20 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 2.50% or 0.01 points to 0.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Intralot (AT:INLr), which fell 1.96% or 0.02 points to trade at 1.10 at the close. Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) declined 1.82% or 0.40 points to end at 21.56 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was down 1.74% or 0.45 points to 25.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 47 and 28 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.14% or 3.40 to $2,466.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.53% or 0.40 to hit $76.59 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.39% or 0.31 to trade at $79.47 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 102.89.
