Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Household, Financials and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 5.05% or 0.0048 points to trade at 0.0996 at the close. Meanwhile, European Reliance General Insurance Co SA (AT:EREr) added 2.85% or 0.100 points to end at 3.610 and Holding Company ADMIE IPTO SA (AT:ADMr) was up 2.23% or 0.04 points to 1.74 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 3.81% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.227 at the close. Elastron SA (AT:ELSRr) declined 2.88% or 0.0400 points to end at 1.3500 and Intracom Constructions Technical and Steel Constructions SA (AT:INCr) was down 2.77% or 0.035 points to 1.230.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 56 to 46 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.60% or 7.30 to $1216.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.95% or 0.65 to hit $68.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.48% or 1.10 to trade at $73.11 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1672, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8896.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 94.44.
