Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.05% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 7.95% or 0.012 points to trade at 0.163 at the close. Meanwhile, Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) added 7.08% or 0.007 points to end at 0.100 and Piraeus Bank SA (AT:BOPr) was up 5.93% or 0.160 points to 2.860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 7.60% or 0.1900 points to trade at 2.3100 at the close. Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) declined 7.27% or 0.002 points to end at 0.025 and Intralot (AT:INLr) was down 3.40% or 0.036 points to 1.024.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 61 to 41 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr) fell to all time lows; losing 7.27% or 0.002 to 0.025.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.02% or 0.30 to $1257.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.40% or 0.23 to hit $57.27 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $63.29 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1768, while EUR/GBP rose 0.70% to 0.8831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 93.84.
