Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Travel sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr), which rose 2.30% or 0.90 points to trade at 40.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Petros Petropoulos SA (AT:PTRr) added 1.70% or 0.14 points to end at 8.38 and Piraeus Port (AT:OLPr) was up 1.51% or 0.45 points to 30.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr), which fell 3.73% or 0.31 points to trade at 8.00 at the close. Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) declined 1.95% or 0.30 points to end at 15.05 and Elvalhalcor Hellenic Copper and Aluminium Industry SA (AT:ELHA) was down 1.77% or 0.03 points to 1.89.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 74 to 42 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Titan Cement International SA (AT:TITCr) rose to all time highs; rising 2.30% or 0.90 to 40.00. Shares in Dimand Societe Anonyme for Real Estate Constructions (AT:DIMANDr) fell to all time lows; down 3.73% or 0.31 to 8.00.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.86% or 49.31 to $2,603.99 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.99% or 0.70 to hit $69.88 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.27% or 0.20 to trade at $73.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.50% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 107.97.
