Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Travel, Media and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite rose 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Papoutsanis Industrial and Commercial of Consumer Goods SA (AT:PSALr), which rose 11.76% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.145 at the close. Meanwhile, Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) added 4.20% or 0.2000 points to end at 4.9600 and Kekrops SA (AT:KEKr) was up 3.91% or 0.0500 points to 1.3300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nireus Aqua (AT:NIRr), which fell 4.24% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.158 at the close. Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) declined 3.46% or 0.080 points to end at 2.230 and Gr Sarantis SA (AT:SRSr) was down 3.24% or 0.24 points to 7.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 49 to 49 and 24 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.11% or 1.50 to $1310.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.61% or 1.39 to hit $54.70 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.94% or 1.19 to trade at $62.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.05% to 1.1424, while EUR/GBP fell 0.03% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.570.
