Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Construction, Travel and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite added 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Alumil (AT:ALMr), which rose 5.05% or 0.19 points to trade at 3.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) added 2.51% or 0.48 points to end at 19.63 and Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT:MTDr) was up 2.18% or 0.06 points to 2.58 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which fell 1.82% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.30 at the close. Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) declined 1.81% or 0.13 points to end at 7.07 and Quality and Reliability SA (AT:QUAr) was down 1.49% or 0.02 points to 1.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 51 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Alumil (AT:ALMr) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.05% or 0.19 to 3.85.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.05% or 1.34 to $2,663.46 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.22% or 0.15 to hit $68.87 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.26 to trade at $72.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 106.14.
