Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Travel & Leisure, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 declined 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 1.48% or 0.37 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) added 1.17% or 0.0095 points to end at 0.8240 and Enel (MI:ENEI) was up 0.77% or 0.038 points to 4.960 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banca Popolare dell’Emilia Romagna (MI:EMII), which fell 3.25% or 0.162 points to trade at 4.818 at the close. Saipem SpA (MI:SPMI) declined 2.38% or 0.0840 points to end at 3.4460 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was down 2.29% or 0.61 points to 25.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 239 to 112 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.56% or 0.26 to $46.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.64% or 0.31 to hit $48.73 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 7.43 to trade at $1241.13 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.77% to 1.1566, while EUR/GBP rose 0.84% to 0.8865.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 94.40.
