Investing.com – German regulator Bafin on Tuesday rejected London as the main base for LSE/Deutsche Boerse.
Bafin chief Felix Hufeld said it was hard to see euro-zone’s biggest bourse guided from non-EU center.
Britain voted to leave the European Union in the June 23 UK referendum.
Hufeld also said euro-denominated trading should move to the EU, possibly to Frankfurt.
It cannot be “politically smart” for the bulk of such trading to take place outside the EU.
