Investing.com - (NYSE:General Electric) shares were higher as CEO Jeff Immlet replaced by John Flannery.
GE shares were up 4.74% at $29.27 at 09:45 ET.
Flannery, 55, is currently CEO of GE Healthcare. He takes over as CEO from Immelt effective August 1.
Immelt will stay on as chairman until the end of the year when he will retire.
Flannery will the also take over as chairman at the start of next year.
A management shake-out had been expected after GE shares missed out on a stock market rally.
