Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.29% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 3.92% or 0.88 points to trade at 23.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 0.11% or 0.06 points to end at 57.08 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.63% or 0.30 points to 47.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 5.44% or 0.400 points to trade at 6.950 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) declined 3.99% or 1.11 points to end at 26.68 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 3.90% or 1.52 points to 37.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.45% or 0.95 to $64.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.59% or 0.98 to hit $60.81 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.50 to trade at $1323.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.18% to 1.2240, while EUR/GBP fell 0.43% to 0.8798.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 90.23.
