Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.84%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 1.29% or 0.39 points to trade at 30.54 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.66% or 0.23 points to end at 35.11 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 0.10% or 0.004 points to 4.103 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 6.79% or 0.435 points to trade at 5.975 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 5.51% or 1.98 points to end at 33.96 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 5.01% or 0.176 points to 3.335.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 36 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.79% or 0.435 to 5.975.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.65% or 0.40 to $62.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.19% or 0.10 to hit $53.05 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.25 to trade at $1243.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1329, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 97.005.
