Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.58%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 4.26% or 1.16 points to trade at 28.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) added 3.66% or 0.61 points to end at 17.43 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 2.65% or 0.94 points to 36.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 13.54% or 2.205 points to trade at 14.080 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO) declined 8.27% or 2.34 points to end at 25.96 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 7.30% or 0.690 points to 8.765.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 89 to 53 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.26% or 0.19 to $72.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $68.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.42% or 5.20 to trade at $1229.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1702, while EUR/GBP fell 0.20% to 0.8928.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.60% at 94.41.
