Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.52% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 0.13% or 0.05 points to trade at 37.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) fell 0.07% or 0.03 points to end at 45.16 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.36% or 0.014 points to 3.886 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.24% or 0.3450 points to trade at 7.7950 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 3.38% or 0.21 points to end at 6.16 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 3.29% or 0.235 points to 6.900.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 123 to 27 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.38% or 0.21 to 6.16.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.68% or 0.43 to $63.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.74% or 0.42 to hit $57.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.88 to trade at $1287.58 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1647, while EUR/GBP rose 0.26% to 0.8863.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 94.38.
