Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.45% to hit a new 52-week low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 0.86% or 0.23 points to trade at 26.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 0.44% or 0.12 points to end at 27.69 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.03% or 0.01 points to 33.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 2.90% or 0.195 points to trade at 6.540 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 2.85% or 0.5200 points to end at 17.7000 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 2.73% or 0.70 points to 24.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 58 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.23% or 0.78 to $62.70 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.39% or 0.76 to hit $53.87 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1228.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1404, while EUR/GBP fell 0.62% to 0.8854.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.387.
