Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS), which rose 1.88% or 0.44 points to trade at 23.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) fell 0.54% or 0.15 points to end at 27.72 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was down 0.57% or 0.13 points to 22.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V), which fell 3.52% or 0.90 points to trade at 24.64 at the close. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 3.03% or 0.20 points to end at 6.41 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) was down 2.67% or 0.1240 points to 4.5180.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 128 to 42 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS) rose to all time highs; up 1.88% or 0.44 to 23.90.
Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.94% or 1.21 to $63.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.66 to hit $58.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1175.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.83% to 1.1143, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.7090.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.63% at 95.68.
