Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 0.35% or 0.0200 points to trade at 5.6620 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.33% or 0.016 points to end at 4.857 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 0.05% or 0.004 points to 7.674 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 6.44% or 0.610 points to trade at 8.865 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 3.13% or 1.07 points to end at 33.08 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was down 3.10% or 0.17 points to 5.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 41 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.13% or 1.07 to 33.08. Shares in YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.10% or 0.17 to 5.16.
Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.25% or 0.18 to $73.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $68.00 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 8.90 to trade at $1314.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.27% to 1.1983, while EUR/GBP rose 0.24% to 0.8826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.30.
