Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which rose 1.39% or 0.74 points to trade at 53.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.39% or 0.16 points to end at 41.36 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 0.38% or 0.14 points to 37.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 4.79% or 0.1910 points to trade at 3.7930 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 3.94% or 0.325 points to end at 7.925 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 3.25% or 0.90 points to 26.79.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 60 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.92% or 0.65 to $70.00 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.07% or 0.65 to hit $60.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.37% or 16.80 to trade at $1209.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1329, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.8725.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 96.76.
