Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.20% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 2.46% or 0.19 points to trade at 7.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.69% or 0.06 points to end at 3.31 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 1.32% or 0.23 points to 17.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 6.26% or 0.80 points to trade at 11.90 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 4.94% or 0.48 points to end at 9.16 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) was down 3.55% or 2.95 points to 80.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 123 to 43 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.05% or 0.85 to $81.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.07% or 0.82 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.66% or 15.90 to trade at $2,423.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 103.95.
