Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.17% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which rose 2.19% or 0.78 points to trade at 36.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.18% or 0.04 points to end at 3.35 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) was up 0.96% or 0.23 points to 24.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 7.32% or 1.03 points to trade at 13.04 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 3.34% or 0.62 points to end at 17.79 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was down 2.93% or 0.27 points to 8.77.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 119 to 49 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; falling 7.32% or 1.03 to 13.04. Shares in Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.93% or 0.27 to 8.77.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.36% or 0.27 to $75.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 0.07 to hit $71.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.72% or 74.80 to trade at $2,674.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.81% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP fell 0.72% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.64% at 105.01.
