Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.14% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 0.37% or 0.05 points to trade at 13.53 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.28% or 0.01 points to end at 4.94 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 0.03% or 0.01 points to 14.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which fell 18.31% or 15.65 points to trade at 69.80 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 3.81% or 0.30 points to end at 7.62 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) was down 2.78% or 0.67 points to 23.39.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 126 to 51 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.73% or 0.53 to $72.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.82% or 0.56 to hit $69.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.77% or 49.60 to trade at $2,751.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP rose 0.76% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.03.
