Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.13%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 2.86% or 0.135 points to trade at 4.850 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) added 1.75% or 0.10 points to end at 5.51 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.34% or 0.24 points to 71.66 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 7.48% or 2.78 points to trade at 34.41 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 4.43% or 0.8800 points to end at 18.9700 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 3.15% or 1.16 points to 35.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 52 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.52% or 0.42 to $79.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.75% or 0.52 to hit $69.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.34% or 4.20 to trade at $1231.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1478, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8790.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 95.52.
