Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which rose 0.68% or 0.03 points to trade at 4.30 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 0.58% or 0.28 points to end at 48.89 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.51% or 0.04 points to 8.32 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 9.58% or 1.70 points to trade at 16.05 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 3.15% or 1.52 points to end at 46.79 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 2.30% or 0.80 points to 34.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 43 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell to 5-year lows; down 9.58% or 1.70 to 16.05.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.89% or 1.31 to $70.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.37% or 1.56 to hit $67.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.20 to trade at $2,543.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 101.69.
