Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 1.35% or 0.049 points to trade at 3.666 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 0.87% or 0.060 points to end at 6.945 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 0.49% or 0.060 points to 12.375 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which fell 3.01% or 1.25 points to trade at 40.25 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 2.08% or 0.40 points to end at 18.56 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 1.91% or 0.29 points to 14.87.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 50 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.18% or 0.78 to $66.90 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.89% or 0.50 to hit $56.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.20% or 14.40 to trade at $1213.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP rose 1.92% to 0.8871.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 96.97.
