Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 2.91% or 0.82 points to trade at 29.02 at the close. Meanwhile, KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 1.41% or 0.59 points to end at 42.39 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.13% or 0.05 points to 38.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 5.16% or 1.99 points to trade at 36.55 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 3.98% or 0.59 points to end at 14.22 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 3.06% or 0.174 points to 5.508.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 90 to 56 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.49% or 0.30 to $61.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.25% or 0.68 to hit $54.91 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 9.65 to trade at $1325.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.1441, while EUR/GBP fell 0.38% to 0.8717.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 95.312.
