Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO), which rose 0.69% or 0.13 points to trade at 18.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) added 0.55% or 0.45 points to end at 82.55 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 0.33% or 0.13 points to 39.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which fell 3.62% or 1.14 points to trade at 30.33 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) declined 2.23% or 0.18 points to end at 7.73 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was down 2.03% or 0.19 points to 9.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 64 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 2.09% or 1.72 to $80.68 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.35% or 1.84 to hit $76.56 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 12.05 to trade at $2,406.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 104.19.
