Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 1.40% or 0.56 points to trade at 40.64 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) added 1.33% or 0.56 points to end at 42.58 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.14% or 0.39 points to 34.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 3.98% or 0.184 points to trade at 4.438 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 3.29% or 0.152 points to end at 4.466 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 3.24% or 0.86 points to 25.72.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 134 to 41 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) fell to 3-years lows; losing 3.98% or 0.184 to 4.438. Shares in Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.33% or 0.56 to 42.58.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.14% or 0.07 to $51.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.24% or 0.12 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.38% or 4.75 to trade at $1258.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1042, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.9035.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 97.63.
