Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which rose 13.41% or 3.14 points to trade at 26.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.15% or 0.27 points to end at 12.84 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.42% or 0.06 points to 14.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which fell 2.76% or 0.32 points to trade at 11.45 at the close. Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) declined 2.74% or 0.26 points to end at 9.23 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 2.61% or 0.09 points to 3.47.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 49 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.31% or 0.26 to $82.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.39% or 0.31 to hit $78.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.73% or 40.85 to trade at $2,313.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 104.70.
