Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 3.26% or 0.88 points to trade at 27.87 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.65% or 0.215 points to end at 8.320 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.40% or 0.24 points to 17.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which fell 3.65% or 0.24 points to trade at 6.47 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.64% or 0.2380 points to end at 6.2920 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was down 2.09% or 0.185 points to 8.655.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 92 to 45 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.65% or 0.215 to 8.320. Shares in Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.09% or 0.185 to 8.655.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.24% or 0.16 to $66.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.51% or 0.32 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.20 to trade at $1317.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.42% to 1.2342, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8789.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 89.41.
