Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.57% or 0.180 points to trade at 7.195 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.17% or 0.60 points to end at 51.90 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was up 0.76% or 0.17 points to 22.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.45% or 0.2600 points to trade at 7.2850 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.66% or 0.90 points to end at 53.25 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was down 1.59% or 0.26 points to 16.14.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 48 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.57% or 0.180 to 7.195.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.64% or 0.40 to $62.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.46% or 0.26 to hit $56.86 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.10 to trade at $1256.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.37% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8771.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 93.62.
