Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.63%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.87% or 2.10 points to trade at 75.18 at the close. Meanwhile, Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 0.89% or 0.17 points to end at 19.18 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.78% or 0.037 points to 4.768 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 3.40% or 0.295 points to trade at 8.390 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 3.01% or 1.05 points to end at 33.81 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 2.91% or 0.81 points to 26.98.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 99 to 40 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.91% or 0.81 to 26.98.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.46% or 1.26 to $85.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.28% or 1.74 to hit $74.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1202.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.1504, while EUR/GBP fell 0.34% to 0.8840.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 95.46.
