Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.48% or 0.165 points to trade at 6.825 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 1.53% or 0.56 points to end at 37.22 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.85% or 0.45 points to 53.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which fell 2.39% or 0.41 points to trade at 16.75 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 2.02% or 0.080 points to end at 3.874 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was down 1.56% or 0.57 points to 35.91.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 49 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.85% or 0.45 to 53.60.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.75% or 0.48 to $64.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.71% or 0.41 to hit $57.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 5.00 to trade at $1269.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.30% to 1.1875, while EUR/GBP rose 0.23% to 0.8864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 92.90.
