Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which rose 4.09% or 1.07 points to trade at 27.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 2.37% or 0.200 points to end at 8.630 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was up 2.18% or 0.11 points to 5.17 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 5.27% or 0.94 points to trade at 16.81 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 4.48% or 0.2440 points to end at 5.2000 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was down 3.85% or 1.68 points to 41.94.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 78 to 60 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.40 to $72.50 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.21% or 0.14 to hit $67.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.89% or 10.90 to trade at $1217.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.1607, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.8937.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 95.23.
