Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.56%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.58% or 0.26 points to trade at 16.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) added 0.97% or 0.85 points to end at 88.65 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 0.29% or 0.03 points to 10.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which fell 2.82% or 0.79 points to trade at 27.24 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.70% or 1.41 points to end at 50.86 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 2.67% or 1.80 points to 65.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 71 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 3.02% or 2.31 to $78.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.98% or 2.18 to hit $75.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.57% or 15.00 to trade at $2,641.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 102.72.
