Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA), which rose 1.34% or 0.06 points to trade at 4.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.17% or 0.05 points to end at 4.23 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was up 1.10% or 0.11 points to 9.69 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 3.15% or 1.76 points to trade at 54.17 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.39% or 0.22 points to end at 8.98 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 2.00% or 0.54 points to 26.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 115 to 55 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.61% or 0.45 to $73.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.70% or 0.49 to hit $69.80 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.79% or 49.31 to trade at $2,707.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.46% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 106.27.
