Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 3.67% or 0.65 points to trade at 18.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.83% or 0.08 points to end at 2.95 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.60% or 0.27 points to 45.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 3.27% or 0.42 points to trade at 12.29 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.92% or 0.08 points to end at 4.20 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was down 1.43% or 0.13 points to 8.93.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 98 to 72 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 2.99% or 2.30 to $79.22 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 2.98% or 2.20 to hit $76.12 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.14% or 30.70 to trade at $2,721.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.60% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 109.56.
