Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.84% or 0.12 points to trade at 13.89 at the close. Meanwhile, Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) added 0.52% or 0.21 points to end at 40.24 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 0.23% or 0.03 points to 10.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which fell 2.73% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.28 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 2.71% or 0.27 points to end at 9.55 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 2.18% or 0.40 points to 17.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 113 to 54 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.71% or 0.27 to 9.55.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 2.79% or 1.98 to $73.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.90% or 1.94 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.78% or 45.80 to trade at $2,615.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 106.26.
