Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 1.94% or 0.55 points to trade at 28.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 1.31% or 0.20 points to end at 15.45 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 0.48% or 0.04 points to 7.31 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 1.81% or 0.200 points to trade at 10.840 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 1.64% or 0.60 points to end at 36.07 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 1.62% or 0.105 points to 6.390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 73 to 56 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.06% or 1.08 to $53.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 3.05% or 1.44 to hit $48.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.95% or 12.68 to trade at $1343.08 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1921, while EUR/GBP fell 0.54% to 0.9152.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 92.23.
