Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 3.16% or 0.55 points to trade at 17.97 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 1.60% or 0.36 points to end at 22.89 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 0.78% or 0.18 points to 23.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which fell 4.06% or 0.220 points to trade at 5.205 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 3.54% or 1.00 points to end at 27.22 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 3.10% or 1.52 points to 47.58.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 121 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.06% or 0.220 to 5.205.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 3.81% or 2.27 to $57.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 4.94% or 2.48 to hit $47.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1252.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.11% to 1.1360, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8989.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 96.547.
