Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.65% or 0.1250 points to trade at 7.7200 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 0.76% or 0.36 points to end at 47.50 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.66% or 0.28 points to 42.82 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which fell 1.96% or 0.51 points to trade at 25.51 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.52% or 0.100 points to end at 6.475 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 1.35% or 0.52 points to 38.03.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 50 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.64% or 0.40 to $62.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.51% or 0.86 to hit $57.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 9.85 to trade at $1291.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.50% to 1.1797, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8870.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.55% at 93.37.
