Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.38% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 2.82% or 0.55 points to trade at 20.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.10% or 0.056 points to end at 5.144 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 0.86% or 0.37 points to 43.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which fell 2.29% or 0.13 points to trade at 5.54 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) declined 2.14% or 0.63 points to end at 28.80 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 1.94% or 0.160 points to 8.075.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 94 to 50 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Valmt (HE:VALMT) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.82% or 0.55 to 20.08.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.91% or 0.76 to $84.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.58% or 0.43 to hit $74.72 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 2.80 to trade at $1191.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1484, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8742.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.44.
