Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 3.71% or 0.36 points to trade at 9.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) added 1.66% or 0.18 points to end at 10.69 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 1.39% or 0.64 points to 46.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which fell 2.73% or 0.67 points to trade at 23.91 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 2.39% or 0.46 points to end at 18.58 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 2.29% or 1.40 points to 59.65.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 101 to 59 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.39% or 0.64 to 46.72.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.33% or 0.24 to $72.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.30% or 0.21 to hit $69.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 11.65 to trade at $2,537.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 101.13.
